In your entire life, the Devil will never be pleased with you as a Christian. He delights in your downfall. The battle started right from heaven unto this earth. It never ceases until the return of Christ Jesus. To be a good warrior in fighting the good fight — put on the full armor of God.
Are you fighting the good fight to be a conqueror?. Let’s remind ourselves of the hurdles the Devil has placed in front of us as Christians. Don’t be ignorant about those who conspire to destroy your soul.
Are you fighting the good fight the Bible talked about?. It is not about putting on your boxing gloves to show up in the “ring.” It takes more than physical strength to fight the good fight and win!. Pray until you get your answer from God.
Let me drum the truth into your ears today; the fight is already at your doorstep. It’s either you fight your way out or sit down to fail and die without salvation. This world has already been unfair to millions of people. It is not a good place for losers.
There is Spiritual warfare that affects your total life on earth. Your health, finances, education, marriage and even “reasoning” get affected. By joining true worshipers of God in fighting the good fight; you would always come out of every single challenge triumphantly.
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12).
Fighting the good fight of faith will lead you to eternal life. No matter how hard your enemies strike at you. Even if you lose everything you own here on earth — never lose hope in God and he will also never fail you.
Where Did The Fight Begin?
It all began in heaven when Lucifer rebelled against God. Don’t be naïve or unconcerned about the crafty devices of Satan. War began in heaven. The question is why should war start from the abode of the most high God?. It all befalls on Lucifer who wanted to be like God. Now let’s figure out where this problem came from and why we have been partakers of a fight we never expected to come?.
After Satan was cast out of heaven, he tempted mankind and caused them great pain. Adam and Eve sinned against God through the lies of the Devil.
This creature is still roaring— looking for more souls to destroy. Thank God that— out of his unfailing love— sent his only begotten son to come and die for our sins— so that we gain salvation someday.
Fighting The Good Fight — Why You Must Be Fully Armed In Christ Jesus
Yes, you must be careful so that you don’t become a puppet for the Devil. In fighting the good fight you must abhor what God detests. Death is the reward for our sins— but through Christ Jes, us we have been redeemed from the bondage of sin and its consequences.
If you, therefore, become a slave to sin—then you are heading toward destruction. You will face the same fate as the Devil who made you sin.
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8).
Don’t follow the exemplary life of Satan. Unrighteousness shouldn’t drag you into destruction. Flee from anything God frowns on. The Lord said to Satan:
“You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you” ( Ezekiel 28:15).
The Challenge In Fighting The Good Fight
Like I said early; it is hard to endure all the pains life will take you through. He(Satan) never sleeps. You must also awaken the Spirit of God living inside.
The storm will come but it will never uproot you. That is if you put on the full armor of God.
Temptations and suffering don’t mean God has forsaken you. The story of Job has a great lesson about trusting in God and its associated reward. Even if there seems to be no helper— Keep on fighting the good fight for the sake of Christ Jesus.
“Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Beware, the Devil is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have affliction. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life”( Revelation 2:10).
It is all about endurance. Fortify yourself through fasting and prayers. Let your faith grow stronger each day. Any professed Christian has the responsibility of demonstrating his/her faith through righteousness, fearlessness, love, hard work and self-discipline. By faith, we can have access to the Lord’s promises to make us strong, happy and successful.
