Many often Christians are expected to wait for the Lord. But this begins by taking a leap of faith. His time is the best. It is different from your expectations. But He has got something better for you. Where is your patience?… Your reward is right here.
It’s very common to hear people tell us to wait for the Lord for many different reasons. But we are often too impulsive to see things done right away. It takes a lot of self-discipline to stay calm and look up into the sky for the Lord to bless you with everything you have been in need of.
You say you believe in God, yet you’ve been moving around with divided attention. It is time you make up your mind to wait upon the Lord to answer your prayers.
Literally, it is quite hard exercising patience for something you are in dire need of. But hey, you can’t add a cubit to your height by worrying — says the Bible (Matthew 6:27).
I think now I have your full attention to the issue at hand. And I believe your impatience for your needs will cease after reading this post. You would be in the best kind of mood to wait for the Lord without being fretful of anything.
Your Needs Could Be The Problem
This is something many of us don’t have the courage to stand up for what the Lord has promised us. People are so worried about their current life status and how time has been running fast.
Oh wait a minute, you can take a detour to read about these God’s time Bible verses to better understand why His timing often doesn’t correlate with yours. You are not being late if you have put your trust in the Lord.
Aging is irreversible and that is what brings about stress. A woman may be in desperate need of a husband because she feels age is catching up on her. Can you still wait on God and his perfect plans?. Societies may put pressure on us to fit into the so-called “normal life.”
And so what?. The desire to fit in begins to make you feel like you are late. Why? Because you haven’t gotten married, no kids, no house, your dreams, and goals are fading out like smoke.
The temptation to live life in your own way becomes a pressing issue. Wait!… What if your faith is being tested?. God has many ways of glorifying Himself through men. If you would have patience and trust in the Lord; things would be favorable for you. If it feels too late in the eyes of men — with God it is nothing to worry about.
Perhaps you need a little inspiration to keep on waiting for the Lord to see his glory; read this article about tortoise motivation. It will teach you valuable lessons about the tortoise and the Chinese Bamboo tree.
It is likely God is preparing you for something greater which will cut out all the years you think have been a waste. Look God can recycle all — where is your faith???.
Are You In The Waiting Room
In a number of my articles, I have talked much about patience and it’s reward. It is imperative to understand the simple fact that you cannot get everything you need the moment the need arises.
How does it feel like to wait for something you dearly need?. It sucks and most of us hate it. But things have to work systematically. You are not the only one in need. Know that there should be one step at a time.
There are many reasons why many Christians are giving up on God. It’s a challenging situation because they could barely see any sign of God in their lives. They become impatient and begin to work on things their own way.
Failing to wait for the Lord leaves a loophole in your life — even if you end up becoming successful by trusting your own instinct, you put your life in a great risk. Just like building your house without any security measures in place. Your enemy is lurking in the darkness and who will protect you?.
Have you been so annoyed by a need that requires you to go through a number of processes?. I guest you have. It happens in our daily activities. I mean within our human institutions we are supposed to join long queues and count down until it is our turn.
It happens in hospitals, voting centers, traffic jams, public events, privates events, etc. Imagine this; you need a visa to travel abroad. It’s something urgent you need to show up. But getting your visa has been like a nightmare.
The agent told you to join a long queue — wait until it reaches your turn. In a case like this, what else can you do? You have to wait and believe that surely you will get your visa.
Just relate this to your relationship with God. Do you have enough faith, do you have enough time and are you ready to wait?… Remember that God’s time is the best, trust him!.
“I believe that a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand. You see, when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you’re able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something… it’s about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting.”

God’s Timing – Wait For The Lord
God is not affected by time and space. And he has the power to uphold and renew you in a moment you do not expect. He has full control over time and space, so trusting and waiting for him is one of the best things you can do.
We can never put God under compulsion. No matter how serious you need something if it doesn’t meet God’s will —you will not have it. And it doesn’t mean everything is over. Because the Bible has made it clear that he has better plans for us.
“Now, dear friends, do not let this one thing escape your notice, that a single day is like a thousand years with the Lord and a thousand years are like a single day. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:8-9).”
Two Crucial Things To Remember
While you have decided to wait for the Lord, there are two things you must be aware of. And they are:
1. The will of God
The Bible has made it clear that it is God’s will that would be done on earth. So look up to Him.
“So do not give up your hope which will be greatly rewarded. For, having done what was right in God’s eyes, you have need of waiting before his word has effect for you” (Hebrews 10:35-36).
2. The Desire To Wait On God
“But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness” (Isaiah 40:31).
“For this is what the master, the LORD, the Holy One of Israel says: “If you repented and patiently waited for me, you would be delivered; if you calmly trusted in me you would find strength, but you are unwilling” (Isaiah 30:15).
Now you and I will come to the conclusion that the God we serve is all-powerful. He listens to our prayers and knows our needs. There is nothing like “too late” “impossible” etc.
Keep on waiting and trusting in Him who has power over time, space, death, and everything. Waiting time on God is not wasted time. He will surely reward you. Turn a deaf years on what people and the society will say. Open your heart and let God fill it with His blessings.
