It is time you evaluate your life. Do you believe that your thoughts are in direct correspondence with who you are today?. Never forget the simple fact that you become what you think. No need to blame anyone if you are unhappy or unsuccessful.
There are a number of factors that affect our reality. One is your thoughts. Your personality is known to be affected by things like what you eat. We also believe you reap what you sow. In the first place, do you believe that you become what you think?. If you find it difficult accepting this simple fact then I would like you to pay much attention to what I’m about to share with you.
On the other hand if you are one of those guys who believes our thoughts could have a great influence on our lives — then keep your fingers crossed and learn more about how things work out.
After reading through this post — I believe you would be inspired to believe in your self more than never before. You would be able to use your reasoning power to create that beautiful life you have dreamt about for years.
Before I get things straight — you might feel a little uncomfortable if you don’t believe in the works of the creator of our universe. I will surely use one or two Bible verses to clarify the topic at hand.
How Does It Matter?
You shouldn’t be ignorant about how powerful the human brain is. Most of the great inventors we know today used their brains to come out with what most of us would have objected to.
Those who dream big and work assiduously towards it actually achieve it. So today. You must be constantly evaluating yourself about the kind of thoughts you feed your brain. Surely that is going to shape you into the person you deserve.
If you tell your self you can be this — that or do this or that then surely it will happen. Sometimes you need to believe that you worth much more than what you are right now — and as a matter of fact you deserve something better. This is the key to meeting greatness.
Let me give you a perfect scenario about how you become what you think: An architect would have to have a deep thought about how he would like a particular house to be. After that, he will draw the plan before it is built. Just relate this to your personal life. How do you want to be like? A storey building? a mansion, a summer hut, etc. Make your own decision.
Understanding The Truth Behind Why You Become What You Think
Most people are familiar with this saying “As a man thinkteh” which is a self-help book by James Allen. According to him, his book is meant to deal with the power of thought — particularly with the use and application of thought to live a happy and beautiful life. He published this said book in 1903. And up to date, it is relatively easy to lay your hands on one.
Now, I want to draw your attention to the fact that: the title of said book was influenced by a particular verse in the Bible (Proverbs 23 verse 7 KJV).
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee” (Proverbs 23:7).
Interestingly the book of Proverbs was written by the wisest and the richest man ever to live on earth. So think about it. You would see a tremendous change in your life if you start feeding your mind with good thoughts.
It is apparent that your reasoning can affect your entire life. This in no small way leads us to the law of attraction or the power of positive affirmation.
In fact, you have the power to shape your future the way you want it. Don’t ever try to doubt me because I seriously know there is power in the tongue. What are you telling yourself now… Is it something positive or negative?.
Look, anything that comes out your month must be processed by your mind. There is a thought that tells us that what has overflown in the heart is what comes of the mouth.
It simply makes sense so much to me that there is a powerful connection between the brain and the heart. And it might surprise you to know that scientists have been able to find out that the mind has its own heart. They both contain the same kind of neurons. You may get more enlightenment from my article about how to follow your heart.
The Choice Of Becoming What You Think Is Yours
If you would think about things that make you sad, fearful and hopeless — then you would spend your entire life on earth being so — hopeless!…
If you think and focus on things that make you happy, hopeful and ambitious then you are already one step ahead of success. Look you just stimulated your happy hormones so you would smile to yourself in a way that nobody will understand.
You Are What You Have Been Telling Yourself?
Doctor Bruce Lipton, a neuroscientist has confirmed that you become what you think. Unfortunately most of us have been programmed to believe that we are poor, unintelligent, useless, weak, etc. And this has become part and parcel of our daily lives. Why?.
This is due to the fact that our subconscious minds have been programmed since childhood to believe in this. Meanwhile, we are far valuable than that.
That negative thoughts have stuck deep inside your brain so you fear to dream big like the ocean. You are afraid to go in for the best things meant for you in life. Take a look at this quote:
“Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness” — Alejandro Jodorowsky
It is very true that you become what you think. And since that problem might come from your subconscious mind – Doctor Bruce Lipton is here to help you learn how to reprogram it. And I am very sure you would be able to recognize the possibilities of moving beyond your own expectations.
“The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.”
—Arnold Schwarzenegger
Think big, work hard towards it, never give up, support it with prayers and you will be who you really want to be. But make sure your goals are realistic enough and worthy of your time, money and other resources. Be real and stay away from fantasies.
What Does The Bible Say?
When I take you through the Bible about issues concerning what you think and who you become — I will cite a few examples.
Before you set your mind on your ideal future life — you must move towards it in faith. Yes! It takes faith to move any mountain of obstruction. If you think you are going to have a successful marriage, pass your exams, live in good health, become successful in all facets of life; then back all of them with faith.
Because it is God’s desire to give you a beautiful future by making you prosperous. What kind of prosperous life God wants you to think about???. Find out here.
The Bible has lessons that concerns what you think and how it affects your entire life. Let’s consider the reaction of the team of Israelites who went to spy on the promised land.
Indeed the spies saw that the land was good. But they feared to go in for it because they were thinking — the giants on the Land were unbeatable. They saw themselves as grasshoppers.
This is what the mind processed so indeed they felt and became like grasshoppers. Psychologically they have lost the battle. Meanwhile, it is their destiny to possess the land.
“And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 13:33).
After they delivered the message — there was fear and panic among the Israelites. But two of the spies named Caleb and Joshua did not underestimate themselves. They inspired the whole congregation.
And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey” (Numbers 14:6-8).
In the long run, the Israelites were able to take the land from the enemies. This is how your thought can inspire you to do greater things or discourage you to fail miserably in life.
It was a different story when David faced Goliath who was a giant. Young David did not see himself as a grasshopper. In a single strike, he brought down Goliath and beheaded him. He apparently achieved what he thought in his head through the power of God. David wasn’t frightened of a kind of a giant.
The challenges will come but how you would envision it will determine your stance. Call on failure and you will fail. Call on success and you would be successful.
So You would agree with me up to this point that what you think is who you become. Never think small of yourself because you deserve the best in life.
If you believe it, surely it will happen to you. And don’t forget that with God all things are possible. What are you waiting for??? Start thinking about whom you want to be in the next 2,5,10… years.
