We can never forsake the act of giving. Being humane takes more than our time and energy. Let love lead and let the world feel your presences by touching the hearts of the needy.
There is something divine and interesting about serving the Lord as genuine Christians. What is it?. “Charity.” It is one of our divine responsibilities to help each other and the church as a whole.
Today I would like to remind every single Christian about helping to make this world a better place for those who need our help. Just like what the Bible has said; there are more blessings in giving than taking.
Take a minute, ask yourself; since the beginning of this year have you extended your love, care and help to anyone?. I hope you haven’t failed to fulfill this glorious divine responsible called charity. Even nonbelievers believe there is something rewarding about showing genuine kindness to a fellow being.
In one of my oldest post, I explained why giving is a blessing. In addition, I explained the various forms of giving. But for the purpose of this article, I would like to put much emphasis on supporting the church to achieve greater success in reaching out to the world.
Without our individualistic help, the church wouldn’t be fully functional. God has given us various kinds of spiritual gifts to help in diverse ways of promoting the mission of the body of Christ.
“He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Matthew 16:15).
But it’s becoming more challenging to reach out to certain people in other part of the world. There are many who are suppressing the mission of the church. Don’t be surprised to hear Christian persecutions happening around us. Can you even understand why China banned sales of online Bibles last year?.
We need to pray for the Church. Not just alone. We must invest our energy, money and time in spreading the word to every part of the world.
Paul praised Titus’s dedication in helping to fortify the church through outreach.
“And we are sending along with him the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in spreading the gospel. In addition, this brother has also been chosen by the churches as our traveling companion as we administer this generous gift to the glory of the Lord himself and to show our readiness to help” (2 Corinthians 8:18-19).
Luckily our new age has various digital platforms of reaching out to millions with the word of God. We can’t forget to pray or help any agency, person or organization that takes the task of helping the spread of the Gospel.
They do need the help of individual believers, group of persons, institutions etc. Charity to the church, the poor, widow and anyone who needs help is a blessing in disguise. I recommend reading my article about why you must give charity to widows and orphans. Have you ever thought of it?. Church fundraising alone helps to perpetuate the mission without any setbacks. Support the church and take part in Evangelism if you can.
I sometimes receive messages from Christian’s whose heart are filled with generosity to help the handicapped, poor, widows, the sick through fundraising. But it’s unfortunate this blog is not the charity platform to raise funds in helping our fellow Christians who need our help. Faith based fundraising could help in raising funds for Church projects.
It is my heart desire to create a charity website someday to help in offering help and inspiration to the needy. Together we can make the world a better place.
