Sometimes the thought of the reality of inevitable death can steal your happiness away like a thief. You can own all the most beautiful and expensive things on earth but one day you’ll leave this world. Your entire life is limited. Why not prepare for this….?
I know I will always be the that bad guy who would always hurt you with the bitter truths in life. Look at you, you have always been thinking about how you can meet your goals as soon as possible. There is nothing wrong with that but bear in mind that one day you’ll leave this world behind.
Have a look at this scenario; two people were fighting over a plot of land… Some few years later, all of them were gone. So does it worth to crave for worldly possessions?. It would have been a great idea if it is possible to go along with your wealth when you die.
The average life span is 70 to 75 years. And as 5600 people die each day, someday you would be part of them. You can’t change this fate so I want you to embrace it well with a broad smile. There is one thing that exasperates me; the stupid arrogance of men fueled with money, fame, power and wealth.
Here we are on a planet packed with crazy events, mysteries, and other complicated situations far behind what humans can control or comprehend. Nature has already presented to us beautiful things that money cannot produce nor buy.
In addition, mankind has been able to produce beautiful things that provide entertainment and enhances our daily activities. however, these things I’m talking about aren’t for free. Some are so expensive that only the wealthy class can buy. Interestingly, the one major thing that makes the rich and the poor equal is “death.”
There are too many luxurious things that make life sweet and interesting. But it doesn’t last forever. The brevity of life and its pleasures must caution us to stay connected to God in all things.
Have you considered that feeling when someone tells you: “one day you’ll leave this world behind?.” It sounds awful. Although it is very common to almost all of us.
“Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”
(Luke 12:33-34).
Leaving Something Better Behind?
It’s true leaving your wealth, monies, properties and loved ones behind is a painful experience. But it would be extremely painful leaving this world without:
2. Knowing God.
3. Making a good impact in the lives of people who needed your help.
As scientists have been trying hard to prolong aging and finally find a cure to death we also rubbish such an attempt because this is an insult to nature. Knowing that about 80% of the world’s population is religious and so believe in life after death, it worth for us to die and meet the afterlife.
Today, I want to remind you in person that one day you’ll leave this world behind. Apparently, this is one of the 6 harsh truths in life I once talked about. We, therefore, ought to be very careful about how we spend our limited life on earth.
There have been a number of people who have tried to cheat nature to avoid death. They failed miserably. Mankind has searched everywhere for immortality but couldn’t find it.
The simple reason is that: anything that has a beginning has an end; except God (Revelation 1:8).
Who Wanna Cling To His Wealth And Belongings?
Something of this sort is still rolling out in this century and there is hope, in the end, people would be able to live hundreds of years. In his defense, he said prolonging life artificially is tasteless. And so he died elegantly – Albert Einstien.
Billionaires, scientists, and entrepreneurs are trying their best to revolutionized life span through a philosophical idea called “transhumanism” which simply means “beyond human.” A man was born in the image of God, not a machine. In fact, these guys are tripping.
Well, nature is so powerful that trying to cheat will result in awful consequences. For the sake of this article, I’m right here to draw your attention to the fact that one day you’ll leave this world behind. No matter how wealthy, wise or powerful you are.
And you can’t prevent death from knocking at your door. All the things you have acquired would be left out. Listen to advice and live a life worthy of remembrance. I mean, a life that would glorify God and secure you a place in heaven.
No wonder, the wisest man ever to live on earth has observed almost everything happening under the sun. He, therefore, concluded that life is meaningless.
Uh oh, that could demoralize you if you are currently chasing your dreams. But this shouldn’t stop you from working hard to make money, build your dream house and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
But whiles you wake up each morning, remember that one day you would not see the sunlight. This is the greatest fate that is common to man, animals, the rich, the poor, the wise and the fool as well.
The Bible Reminds You: One Day You Will Leave Everything Behind
The Bible has a chilling warning for anyone living under the sun. God has already told you: your days are numbered. But for Christians, we know that we are travelers on this earth.
There is a lot of beauty in that. As to embrace death, as we have been made to taste, there is something glorious in await for the Children of God(eternal life free of troubles, pains and evil).
We have been therefore reminded that it is useless to store your treasure on earth where moth can destroy. By knowing that one day you’ll leave this world behind, why not store your treasure in heaven?
Earthly riches are useless. It is not a sin to acquire wealth or to be rich though. But money and wealth don’t satisfy. It is better to follow Christ Jesus. Because in Him you can find everything, including eternal life.
And before you take your last breath you must live a life that will touch the heart of people who need your help.
Always ask yourself about the kind of legacy you are going to live behind. The foolish greedy can’t go along with anything he has acquired. In nakedness we came and in the same manner, shall we return.
Whether is rainy, shiny, or stormy, it doesn’t change the time. It is always 24 hours a day. Everything you have on earth will perish someday.
There is a native American proverb that says anytime the sun rises from the East and sets in the West; it takes part of your life.
You can’t get it back. Aging gracefully to your death is full of blessings. One day you’ll leave this world — just try to leave behind a good legacy. We shall meet in Paradise someday as God has promised.
