The moment things start falling apart when you can’t afford to live under the cheapest shade; you find your life on the steepest edge… You start thinking about how to survive being homeless.

“One can survive everything, nowadays, except death, and live down everything except a good reputation.” —Oscar Wilde

Sometimes life becomes really hard that you need to live like a mad man. But to survive being homeless is nothing new to talk about. There is a solution to help you bounce back to better living. You become like a travel nerd who doesn’t have a permanent place to say. But still, life goes on because there is breath inside you.

How does your story go like?. Is it like that of a guy I know?. Months left for your rent to expire and your landlord impatiently issues an eviction notice… Gosh!!!… That’s heartbreaking when you are down to zero. You begin thinking about how to survive being homeless.

Maybe your story is like that of the young chap who lost his parents and left homeless. Could it also be like life hasn’t been fair with you? Although you work so hard. The story of a hustler is full of pains. But in this post, I would like to give the best inspiration to anyone living a homeless life.

So within my introduction, I have highlighted a couple of reasons that render people homeless. Oh, wait I forget to mention misfortunes/ natural disasters.

Before you finish reading this post you would come into the realization that life itself is hard and so it takes real courage and reasonable plans to survive.

From a broader perspective, this awkward experience could happen to anyone. Perhaps for a few days. You may be forced to spend a couple of nights sleeping at the bus station. It is not only the people in poor countries that suffer from homelessness. It is everywhere. And I remember talking about creating jobs for the poor two years ago. Monetary problems happen to be the greatest problem plunging people into homelessness and its associated challenges.

It’s a serious issue that needs the attention of people who can help. According to Daily Mail UK, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man, has announced that he is donating $98.5 million in 2019 to 32 organizations that help shelter homeless families.

And this is a plausible idea that needs to be undertaken around the world especially those in developing countries.

How Does It Feel Like?

Living a homeless life is like turning the whole street into a free entertainment program that needs to be held in the theater. There is hardly anything like privacy.

—Bernie Siegel

The most important thing is to survive and see the beautiful sunlight the following morning. But when you find yourself a place to lay down your head… Your brain becomes full of crazy thoughts.

You can bask in a thousand thoughts of hope and eventually get back to normal life through proper planning.

Learning How To Survive Being Homeless

A situation like this could be very shameful and stressful but that is something you can change. The major problem here is caused by financial constraints. When you don’t fit into the so-called standard of living your whole life turns into a tug of war.

Well, let me then tell you how to survive being homeless. Assuming you are already finding yourself in such an awkward situation; you probably need someone’s help. Give a try to the following things:

1. Ask A Friend For Help:

You can’t tell me you have no friends. But you can tell me you have no family and I will believe it. Why? because a family is limited to the bloodline and not everyone would care about your predicament.

On the other hand, we are not limited to the number of friends we make. It takes just a minute to add one more friend to your friend lists. And I tell you the truth; there are some friends who are like brothers. Sell out your afflictions and a friend can help you bounce back to your normal life.

2. Using Your Brain To Survive More On A Cost-Effective Service:

Hey, since you want to survive being homeless, I suggest you find some money that will get more than you have paid for. Example subscribe to a gym center anywhere you like. It doesn’t cost much for a month. Forget about it if you don’t like gyming. You are going to benefit from their washrooms anytime you show up.

Alternatively, some Hotels accept payment for using their facilities like the pool. You can’t sleep there for the night but the whole day would be a better place to relax and execute your goals. I once met a young Lady who was trying to spend the night in a safe place by going to the night club.

3. Get Yourself A Job With Zero Money

Sometimes when the need to survive rises, you are left with a few options. Unfortunately, I am not going to support any idea that pertains to gambling or stealing for survival. Instead, I would prefer you to approach any shop keeper or merchant.

Humbly tell him your awful situation and gradually win the person’s trust by picking some of the merchandise on sale in the market or on the street. Listen, there is no shame in asking for help. Remember you would be selling each item on a commission basis.

Let’s say the items price is $20, go outside and sell it for $23 to $25. Sell as many as you can. This is a brilliant way of starting your own business with no money.

Finally, if you are in a situation like this and want to know how to survive being homeless; Try the above strategies and I believe it will work out for you. But don’t forget to pray for the LORD to help you get out of it.

The basic things you would be fighting for throughout your survival moments are food, shelter and some clothes that wouldn’t make you look shabby. Even with no money; you have to be neat. That sends a very good impression about you.
