Many are getting ready to arouse love in February with Christian gifts. We ought to express our love in so many ways at all times. Gifting those we love and care so much about make the world a better place.
It’s the beginning of a new year and there go our many plans for a happy and successful life through the help of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let me share something interesting with you if you are planning to celebrate this year’s Valentine in a grand style.
I believe many are done with their new year resolution. There is something else we call the “happiness calendar” that forms part of the goals of many of us. Skipping to “February“…. Interestingly, my first post for this year is about Christian Valentine gifts. Oh yeah, the celebration is just around the corner(14th February).
Be honest, have you ever given or received Valentine’s gift before? If ‘Yes’; then what was the feeling like? What was it? A card? jewelry? chocolate…? Ah ah, I know I’m putting some lovely memory into someone’s head at this moment. And it’s getting nostalgic here right now. Smile.
Personally, I like gifting the people I love and care so much about things that will imprint an everlasting memory in their minds/hearts.
Showing love and kindness are the best feelings we could ever experience in life. Love surpasses everything and there are many ways we can express it. Take a look at this lovely necklace below:
Before I go any further, I understand there are quite a number of storylines and myths around the celebration of Valentine.
I believe one of the most important things we could do to make the world a better place is to be loving and caring to each other at all times.
However, Valentine in question throws more light on romantic love. This event serves both singles, married, and the divorced. We can extend the celebration to show love to friends, families, and everyone.
“In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another” (Romans 12:10).
Valentine On Our Door Steps
It all began when a young priest named ‘Valentine’ from the 3rd century was martyred on 14th February in Rome. But why?.
Roman Emperor Claudius II outlawed marriage because he found out that single men made better soldiers. However, that wasn’t a valid excuse.
St. Valentine defied the law by secretly performing marriages for single men and supported persecuted Christians.
It was in God’s own interest for single men to find their partners and fulfill the purpose of procreation. So Roman Emperor Claudius II had no right to steal that from us.
“Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the LORD” (Proverbs 18:22).
Let me share one of my favorite Bible verses about romantic love here:
“Set me like a cylinder seal over your heart, like a signet on your arm. For love is as strong as death, passion is as unrelenting as Sheol. Its flames burst forth, it is a blazing flame” (Song of songs 8:6).
Choosing The Right Christian Valentine Gifts
In the 19th century, the practice of exchanging cards was very common. Creativity in the 21st century has brought about customized gifts with many different materials, chocolate, etc.
Choosing the right Christian Valentine gifts matter a lot. As Children of God, we ought to differentiate ourselves from the world. The celebration itself isn’t meant for indulging in immoral acts. But to express love to the people we care about.
Surprise your Christian friends and families with Valentine’s gifts that will last a lifetime. Generally, men do send gifts to women often than they do, so getting the right Christian women gifts for your wife or girlfriend on a special occasion like Valentine’s day would be great.
I remember talking about honoring our mothers with special gifts on regular basis without waiting for Mother’s Day. I love the idea of gifting the people we love and care so much about. Little things like this make life beautiful.
Personally, I have given out gifts made out of wood, paper, silver, cloth, etc. I’m yet to dash out something more valuable and durable. Like a diamond or gold jewelry. Get any memorable gifts for those you love. The men may surprise their wives or girlfriends with well designed Christian gifts for women. Something like the one below:
