Should if anyone scares you with bad destiny prophecies tell him to back off because you can change it through your actions and the power of God. Fulfill your destiny by staying on the positive side of life.
I always keep on saying everything happens for a reasons. Nothing is a coincidence, there must be a reason. If you find the love you have been searching for, would you call it a coincidence or destiny?. There must be something you may have no idea about. We can’t ignore how things in the spiritual realm affect our lives. Do you have any idea about what destroy destiny of innocent people?
I always tell my readers and friends that, if I should believe in destiny or fate then it must be “VERY PLEASANT.” If it is not, then there is no need calling it fate or destiny. Why?. Because God’s plan for me and his children is about making me prosperous no matter how long it takes.
Before I begin it all, let me take a quick break and ask you, “do you believe in destiny?”,can you fulfill your destiny?. This question usually put people into confusion because there are a whole lot of things happening around us.
Destiny could simply be defined as the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future. Honestly, this topic is very broad as it cuts across different religious beliefs and philosophical thoughts. I would, therefore, be much grateful if you share your thoughts in the comment box after reading this article.
Getting A Quick Insight On Destiny
This is often associated with the spiritual realm. In ancient Greek mythology, they believed Moirai and other gods were responsible for determining the destiny of people.
There are other religious assertions that talks about “fatalism” which means that destiny is unchangeable lest there is intense spiritual intervention.
Before I talk about Christians view about how God intervenes in things happening around us and for that matter destiny, let me remind you that we are always responsible for our actions. And as a matter of fact, you can fulfill your destiny.
Would you believe if someone tells you, “you are destined to fail?.” Uh oh, that sounds rubbish. And I don’t expect anyone to believe in a crap like this.
Action Vs Destiny
Just like I said, we are responsible for our actions. This falls into the law of “cause and effects.” There are consequences and repercussions for every wrongful action you take. Not just wrongful actions, if you do it right you will also see the reward coming straight into your life.
There is no need for doing something silly, end up in a messy situation and call it fate/destiny.
You have the power to make your future beautiful and what you do today could determine that. There is no one anywhere determining whether your future is bright or not.
From a different reasonable point of view, some are not responsible for what happens to them, and a situation like this could be prevented by divine intervention. How?.
Let me give two respective scenarios. You stole money and got caught, instant justice from vigilante group shortened your life. Here everyone would agree to the fact that you caused your own death. Why would you steal?.
Secondly, let take someone who makes a living by selling items in the market and all of a sudden a derailed car walks over him… He is not responsible for such an outcome.
And in a situation like this God could prevent it from happening, depending on the person’s relationship with God. Certain things happen to us in this world and it’s not normal to human reasoning.
Some are spiritual manifestations from evil forces that are waging war against us. This could still be prevented because God doesn’t have a tragic ending for those you love him.
Christians View On Destiny According To The Bible
The Psalmist wrote:
“Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence”.(Psalms 139:16).
When God created the first man and woman, he gave them the gift of “free will” which has its own consequences. They made the wrong choice by disobeying God and so God cursed them. They chose that path, it wasn’t their destiny. God had a perfect plan for them but they chose evil over good. We must know why it is important to obey God at all times. This will bring about genuine success and happiness
That sinful and rebellious generation has grown up to this 21st century. Disobedience to God wouldn’t end well for any sinner.
Let us bear in mind that God rewards and punishes us for our actions even before we die. The bible says the will of God shall also come to pass. So let allow the will of God to be done (Matthew 6:10). If your will is in enmity of that of God then things wouldn’t be good for your life.
Even if his will feel bitter, there is something greater behind. His will was for his Son(Jesus Christ) to die for us sinners so that by shedding of his blood we can become worthy of heaven. Perhaps you would like more elaboration, read my article on “The Will Of God“.
Let consider this scenario; Someone who has committed fornication got pregnant and aborted the baby. A few years later she couldn’t conceive again. Could that be her destiny?. Hell no!.
Just like what happened in the old testament. God’s children did abominable things so their fate was something terrible.
“This is your fate, the destiny to which I have appointed you because you have forgotten me and have trusted in false gods.“(Jeremiah 13:15).
The fate of evildoers is destruction but God can change it if they repent before it’s too late. (Deuteronomy 30:3).
In Summation
In Conclusion, we must understand the fact that we are responsible for our destiny. Yes!, you can fulfill your destiny. Just like what the Bible has said,” you reap what you sow”. But since the spiritual realm has always had an influence on our daily lives, we must seek spiritual help from God through prayers.
God Can Change It
A perfect Biblical lesson happened to Hezekiah. This king was very sick and a prophetic message came to him that he will die… Hezekiah prayed to God for forgiveness, healing and long life. He asked God to change that unpleasant destiny and God did it. Find this awesome Biblical lesson from the book of 2 Kings 20:1-20.
What happened then?. God listened to his plea.
“Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake” (2 Kings 20:5:6).
We must also have “Quiet times” with God to elevate our spiritual strength for indeed we do not fight against flesh and blood but we fight against cosmic powers in the darkness around us, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm (Ephesians 6:12).
These evil powers always conspire against us. Finally, my little advise is; never believe anyone who foretells you that you have a bad destiny.
Even if it is true it could be changed by responding to that appropriately. In all, God is the supreme ruler of this universe who is ever ready to help his Children and even save the repented sinner from destruction. Fulfill your destiny through positive action and the power of God.
