It is obvious that a nation’s future and success depends on her youth force. The youths are tasked with a long term plan naturally. But before anyone enjoys a long life he/she must seek the face of God. A good idea is to open the scriptures and learn about Bible lessons for youth.
Have you ever thought of searching for Bible lessons that talk about the youth?. God has a lot of lessons that inspire and educate the millennials and anyone who falls within the youthful generation.
Now is our turn to learn valuable Bible lessons for youth. I will, therefore, share a number of verses that highlight the importance and expectations of a youthful generation in the sight of God.
He thinks about kids and adults as well. His amazing plans are to bless, restore, heal, give salvation, etc. to all his children. But for the purpose of this content; I will extensively talk about some of the things God requires any youth in Christiandom to pay heed to.
You know there are benefits in showing obedience to God. On the other hand, the disobedient child would have to face the wrath of God. Just like he has said he will not let sin go unpunished.
Why Your youthful Days Matter
Naturally, in a youthful stage, the desire to explore life, have fun, and satisfy our curiosity is very high. However, there are limitations to everything we do, there are consequences to everything we do. Whether good or bad, the person in question would have to deal with the results.
“…but worldly cares, the seductiveness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it produces nothing” (Mark 4:19).
This is the more reason why we need guidelines from the word of God. To be free from Satan and his crafty devices, you need to feed on Bible lessons for youth – which are full of wisdom and direction to a fulfilling life in Christ Jesus.
A couple of Bible stories such as the prodigal son, Samson, and Delilah teaches us valuable lessons in life. In a youthful stage, the desire to enjoy life is very high. Falling prey to the Devil and his crafty devices too is very high.
Now take a look at these lessons concerning youth who call themselves Christians.
1. Time factor
The rich, the poor, the fool and the wise all have 24hrs a day. But how to be productive out of these hours depends on your decisions, thoughts, and actions.
Time is a non-renewable resource. Therefore, anyone who wastes his time on unproductive things has already wasted part of his precious life. In the book of ecclesiastics, we are told that there is time for everything. And as a matter of fact, you must know when to say “Yes” and when to say “No.” You must know when to go out and when to stay indoors…
Generally, you cannot move from 1 to 10. Life follows what we know as “laws of nature.” You cannot cheat nature without facing the consequences and repercussions.
By knowing how to use your time wisely, you end up being happy and successful in life. Don’t make yourself busy without being productive.
2. You Are A Traveler
Whether you like it or not, one day you will leave this earth. This is mankind’s greatest fate. You are bound to account for everything you do under the sun. Your temporal existence has to glorify God by obeying his commandments. As I keep on talking about Bible lessons for youth, I would like to remind you that your days on earth are numbered.
“So remember your Creator in the days of your youth – before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
The most disturbing truth is; you don’t know when and how you will take your last breath. So before you cease to exist, it is imperative to search for God and his salvation plan. Living according to His word attracts his favor on every good thing you lay your hands on.
3. Fear Of God
It would be unwise to live without seeking the face of God. He is a Holy God and renders justice; irrespective of your wealth, wisdom, beauty, power, etc. He who fears God has no interest in sinning. To disobey God is a rebellion against Him. Therefore the appropriate punishment would be meted out to the culprit.
“The beginning of wisdom is to fear the LORD, and acknowledging the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10).
As an energetic, young, wise gentleman or lady, you must be afraid of the Lord. He is a loving God. At the same time, his anger is the fiercest anyone could face. He blesses and curses, he heals and wounds, he opens doors and closes doors, saves and destroys, etc. all according to His will…
4. Divine Responsibility(Help The Old/Weak)
As you keep on reading about these Bible lessons for youth – be reminded that; you have what we call divine responsibilities. And one of them is to support the weak.
“You must stand up in the presence of the aged, honor the presence of an elder, and fear your God. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:23).
Don’t just respect them. You must help them in the best way you can. This is one of the secrets to enjoying a longer life.
“Honor your father and your mother just as the LORD your God has commanded you to do, so that your days may be extended and that it may go well with you in the land that he is about to give you” (Deuteronomy 5:16).
5. Spiritism
There is nothing good in consulting spirit mediums. Don’t be such a gullible person. You may be tempted in your youthful days to go in for supernatural powers from demons. This is an abomination unto the Lord.
“They will say to you, “Seek oracles at the pits used to conjure up underworld spirits, from the magicians who chirp and mutter incantations. Should people not seek oracles from their gods, by asking the dead about the destiny of the living?” Then you must recall the LORD’s instructions and the prophetic testimony of what would happen. Certainly, they say such things because their minds are spiritually darkened” (Isaiah 8:19-20).
It’s unfortunate some of the so-called men of God have dealings with spiritual mediums. This is going to evoke the wrath of God!.
Finally, a youthful Stage is a moment you find life entertaining. It is a crucial moment for you to choose between the pleasures of the world or the will of God.
Satan will try to entrap you with the pleasure of the world in order to draw you away from God. Your weapon is the word of God. It is where you can get guidance throughout your journey on earth.
Bible lessons for youth are specifically made for you to know how to fear God, enjoy His blessings and salvation plan. Stay blessed!.
