Christians who are part of the body of Christ are no more under the devices of the great serpent(Lucifer).The fall of man has brought catastrophic challenges in the life of people.Christ Jesus is the only solution.
What do you understand by the fall of man?.Often at times when we hear of “the fall or man” we set our minds on the disobedience of Adam and Eve. That is factual, sometimes we denote that by the term “original sin“.In this post, I would let us look beyond the story of Adam and Eve.
Why did Adam Eve Sin?
Lucifer, after he was cast unto earth for rebelling against God;His target was to destroy God’s precious creation.And he is still pursuing his intentions.Watch out!.
The story of Adam and Eve is one of the most popular stories in the bible ever known to mankind .
The Temptation And The Fall Of Man
“Satan (the great serpent) beguiled Eve to sin against God.Now the serpent was more shrewd than any of the wild animals that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Is it really true that God said, ‘You must not eat from any tree of the orchard’?”(Genesis 3:1).
Satan enticed Eve to eat the forbidden fruit to sin against God.This begins mankind’s sin against God.
Jesus made us understand that Satan is the father of lies. He is still using his crafty devices to make people sin against God.
“So the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman replied, “The serpent tricked me, and I ate.”(Genesis 3:13),
What happened next?. God banished them from the garden of Eden.”The fall of man”.
After mankind ate the forbidden fruit, he got to know the difference between “good and evil“(Genesis 3:22).So, man’s journey of surviving for the sake of good or evil began. Procreation from Adam and Eve brought up all the generations to our 21st century.
Evil has filled our earth today because the great serpent is still at work.Mankind hasn’t stopped falling because many have refused to obey God’s word.
The Controversies On The Story Of The Fall Of Man
1. Misconstrued “Fruit” As Sex
Some Christians have been brainwashed to believe that,the bible wasn’t literally talking about ‘fruit’ but ‘sex’.Uh oh, can you imagine that?.
Well,let’s clarify this from the bible.Satan first approached Eve,deceived her to eat the forbidden fruit.This shows a separate line between their consumption of the fruit. One(Eve) ate if FIRST before the other (Adam).
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat”(Genesis 3:6).
This can’t denote sex as some misconstrue.It takes two people at the same time or moment to have sex.
2.The Speaking Serpent
Many non-Christians see it as a myth and try to ridicule the bible. To the best of my knowledge,I know Satan has power to transform into different creatures.
This is the kind of crafty games he has been playing around God’s children.
Again, remember that, Satan and his angels can posses an animal and speak through it.Oh yes,the spiritual realm is full of mysteries.A spirit can posses an object(host) and manipulate it just as he want.
Mark chapter 5 clarifies this. The possessed man(host) did not talk but the demons residing in him talked to Jesus.
The verse 9 reads:
“Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?”
And he replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.”
Satan and his angels can posses almost anything being animate or inanimate thing and speak through it.Read more on this in my post entitled possession.
Are There Other Instances About The Fall Of Man In The Bible?.
Yes there are a number of records of mankind’s failure to recognise the greatness of God.Like I said, man has continually been falling in life since Adam and Eve Sinned.If they had not sinned, life would have been far better than this.
However, there is hope for a happy life.That is, if you will follow the steps of God’s only begotten son(Jesus Christ). You will find happiness and eternal life.
Mankind’s Fall On Disobedience To Migrate To other parts of the world.
After God purged the earth with flood saving Noah and his family. The next generation refused to spread out to fill all other part of the world as God has purposed.
They decided to build themselves a town and tower in the land of Babylon.
Their intention was to stay together in one place which was against the purpose of God.What happened next?.God brought different languages to confuse them.
This resulted in a big halt on their construction.Finally they spread to all other part of the world. This accounts for the reasons why we have so many languages. To understand the whole story read my post on “Why are there so many different languages“.
Samson And Delilah
The Fall of man continues with the strongest man ever to live. God loves his Children so he protects them in many ways.
Samson disobeyed the commandment of God by marrying from the land of his enemies. It was a woman(Delilah) who brought down the strongest man ever to live. This story has many moral lessons for young Christians today.

In conclusion,the Devil has been God’s greatest enemy.His wrathis on God’s precious creation(Mankind).He is the author of confusion,sickness and all forms of calamities.The fall of man has not ceased.But with prayers and faith in God we shall be conquerors. Amen.
