Christians Praying For Ukraine Need These Bible Verses As Prayer Points

War is a demonic scheme that must be frowned upon. Russia’s Unprovoked war on Ukraine is a global concern. God is ready to hear the cry of the afflicted so let’s use Bible verses to pray for Ukraine.

Bible verses to pray for Ukraine

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has sparked global concern… Innocent souls are perishing. Christian pastors, political leaders and other religious leaders such as the Pope have all requested prayers for Ukraine. God is loving, kind, and full of peace. It is, therefore, important to call on Him in times of need. There are many Bible verses Christians can use to pray for Ukraine and here I have a few listed.

This unprovoked war might have some spiritual secret behind it. Why Putin has launched an unprovoked war on Ukraine?

“Ukraine is an inalienable part of our own history, culture, and spiritual space” —Putin

Some suggest Putin wants to be seen as a Messianic figure.

Ukraine is known as an ancient nation, dating back to the 10th century. They are overwhelmingly Christians with an eastern Christian identity at its root.

Whatever the case might be “Jesus is King.” Ukrainians are already using this Bible verse for prayers — Psalm 31. Many have also found Jesus for the first time. Let’s pray for them.

There are more Bible verses the entire world can use to pray for peace between Russia and Ukraine. We don’t want this to escalate to 3rd World War. This war shows how the prophecies about Gog and Magog fulfills Putin’s rise against Ukraine.

War quote from Charles Spurgeon

“We are up to the hilt advocates for peace, and we earnestly war against war. I wish that Christian men would insist more and more on the unrighteousness of war, believing that Christianity means no sword, no cannon, no bloodshed, and that, if a nation is driven to fight in its own defense, Christianity stands by to weep and to intervene as soon as possible, and not to join in the cruel shouts which celebrate an enemy’s slaughter. . . . Today, then, my brethren, I beg you to join with me in seeking renewal.” (From An All-Round Ministry, a college address in 1880). — Charles Spurgeon

Scriptures Christians Can Use To Pray For Ukraine

The Lord has a record of giving victory to his obedient children. In the old Testament, we can find scriptures that talk about the victories God gave the people of Israel, the prophets, David, etc,

Now it is time for all believers to put their feet in the shoe of Ukraine and pray for them.

“In you, O LORD, I have taken shelter! Never let me be humiliated! Vindicate me by rescuing me!” (Psalms 31:1)

“Only do not rebel against the LORD, and do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection has turned aside from them, but the LORD is with us. Do not fear them!” (Numbers 6:24)

“The LORD is my high ridge, my stronghold, my deliverer. My God is my rocky summit where I take shelter, my shield, the horn that saves me, and my refuge.” (Psalms 18:2)

“The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will certainly not allow the wicked to go unpunished.” (Nahum 1:3)

“The LORD is good – indeed, he is a fortress in time of distress, and he protects those who seek refuge in him.” (Nahum 1:7)

“I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will get drunk on their own blood, as if it were wine. Then all humankind will recognize that I am the LORD, your deliverer, your protector, the powerful ruler of Jacob.” (Isaiah 49:26)

“O LORD, rescue me from wicked men! Protect me from violent men, who plan ways to harm me. All day long they stir up conflict.” (Psalms 140:1 – 2)

“O LORD, shelter me from the power of the wicked! Protect me from violent men, who plan to knock me over.” (Psalms 140:4)

“So I said to the LORD, “O LORD who rules over all, you are a just judge! You examine people’s hearts and minds. I want to see you pay them back for what they have done because I trust you to vindicate my cause.” (Jeremiah 11:20)

“It will so happen that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be delivered. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who survive, just as the LORD has promised; the remnant will be those whom the LORD will call.” (Joel 2:32)

May the Lord listen to our prayers and bring peace between Ukraine, Russia, and all other nations. Divine intervention will bring this war to an end. Enough of the bloodshed!
