5 Things You Can Share Online to Inspire People

Things to inspire people online

The web has been a source of myriad information in this age. Contributing to our communities either positively or negatively is now easy, thanks to technology and the internet!

However, as people of God, our words, thoughts, and acts must consistently uphold a message. Since the Christian life is a beautiful gift, we ought to share it with the people around us. Thus, our examples, whether in speech and deportment, must be a living testimony of Christ.

Here are five things I recommend you share online to inspire people!

  • Kick-off the day with a one-liner or two from your favorite figure!

  • Be intentional in reaching out.

You probably have been doing this since the birth of social media like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. This time, why not become intentional in sharing a line or two from your favorite figure?

  • Caption your photo with an inspirational quote.

Caption your favorite photo with an inspirational quote you may have heard from your favorite pastor. Or post a text on your wall about your own life’s reflection!

  • Here’s why you should do this:
  1. When you learn, teach. When you get, give. -Maya Angelou
  2. “To do more for the world than the world does for you – that is success.” -Henry Ford
  3. I believe that the greatest crime is to learn something that can significantly benefit other people, yet share it with no one. -Mike Pettigrew
  4. Life is filled with treasures, if you’re a lucky one. Be grateful and be humble, and share them with someone. -Julie Hebert
  5. “Happiness doesn’t result from what we get, but from what we give.” Ben Carson

You’ll never know how you may end up brightening someone’s day or cheering up somebody’s mood by sharing these quotes!

Like what one of my favorite authors, Ellen White, once said,

Have an aim in life while you do live. Gather sunshine about you instead of clouds. Seek to be a fresh, beautiful flower in God’s garden, imparting fragrance to all around you. Do this, and you will not die a whit sooner; but you will surely shorten your days by unhappy complainings….

Now, am I making sense here?

  • Inspire your audience with an interesting story or article online.

  • Story of Isaac Watts

Isaac Watts is credited with over seven hundred fifty hymns, many of which are sung by thousands of Christians today.

On one occasion, London held a parade in Watts’ honor. People thronged the streets to get a glimpse of this famous man. As his carriage passed under a balcony filled with spectators, one lady was astonished that this short, older man now hunched over in old age had written such mighty hymns.

She shrieked, “What, you are Isaac Watts?”

Watts motioned for the carriage to stop.

He stretched himself up to his full frame and exclaimed, “Madame, could I in fancy grasp the poles or hold creation in my span, I would still be measured by my mind, for the mind is the measure of a man.”

  • The mind is the measure of a man.

Isn’t it right? The mind is the measure of a man. Thus, whatever we post online reflects who we are as individuals.

Interesting stories, articles, and blogs that uplift the body, mind, and spirit are among the few things you can share with people online!

After all, sharing is free. So, why not click and share?

  • Season your posts with salt as you share your real-life stories of faith.

  • Our life, an object lesson.

One object lesson people will not fail to notice is our everyday stories in life. Our simple miracles and all those little things God allowed us to experience are our faith stories.

There is no other Bible some people may read other than the converted life of a follower of Christ.

  • There’s no need for a grand story.

It doesn’t need to be a grand story. For a sincere lover of Christ, even a simple meal on the table, the chirping birds in the sky, and the innocent smile of a child can be life’s miracle.

You may start with, “Yesterday was my mom’s birthday…and I just couldn’t help but praise God for her x years of life.”

  • The life of gratitude– a Christian’s mark.

The life of a Christian is a life of gratitude. A faithful follower of Christ will never be too down or depressed over life’s hurdles. For him or her, “All things work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 4:28).

And that in his heart, he admonishes the command, “in all things, give thanks” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

  • Elevate somebody’s mind with songs and hymns of praise!

  • What is music?

Another way to inspire people is through music! Arnold Benett mentioned that music is “a language which the soul alone understands but which the soul can never translate.”

  • There is no gloom in the life of a Christian.

Our example must be Jesus. When he was a child, he often brought a lovely disposition in his father’s workshop. He often sang psalms and sacred songs. Often the dwellers in Nazareth heard him, and they were cheered by the sweet melody from his lips.

  • What heavenly hymns do for us?

Music has a significant influence on the mind, indeed!  During the journey of the Israelites through the wilderness, they cheered their way by sacred song music. These songs allowed them to subdue rude and uncultivated natures.

It provided them the power to calm rude and crude characters, quicken thought and awaken sympathy, promote harmony of action, and banish gloom that destroys courage and weakens effort.

  • Empower others through the sharing of God’s Words.

  • What’s the best thing to share?

Lastly, empowering people by sharing God’s words is the best thing to communicate to others, whatever platform we may be in. After all, the “grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever (Isaiah 40:8).”

  • There is power in the simple “thus saith the Lord.”

We have to believe that there is power in God’s Words and that even simple mundane people like us can be an instrument to lead others to Christ. The simple “thus saith the Lord” made heavens and earth and everything within it. His words made the blind see, the leper clean, and the lame walk.

Now that we have unlimited access to connect with a limitless number of people, we must use this power to influence others with the Word of God.

We may not have millions of followers on Instagram or Facebook, but we could be influencers in our own right if we choose to be a weapon in the hands of God.
