What you say might be considered slanderous which might end you in the courtroom. It might be a great opportunity for the enemy to capitalize on it. Too many talks would make you expose your beautiful future to the enemy.

If you are the kind of guy who is very impulsive in situations — this post will help you a great deal. Why would you talk too much about your future plans to people who care not? What Have You Got? – Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Perhaps you are the most intelligent, rich, handsome, innovative guy in your house, community, school, church, workplace, etc.

Is there any need to be a stupid braggart? The moment you fail to keep your mouth shut about certain sensitive things about your personal life — then you open portals for haters to have access to you. And you know what will happen next…

Sometimes too it is not about your personal life. But that of others. Someone might engage you in a conversation just to retrieve very sensitive or confidential information from you if he realizes you are the “okra mouth” type.

If you don’t know how to keep secrets then you deserve not to be trusted a bit. Not even your own spouse, children, friends, schoolmates, etc. will entrust you with their innermost secrets.

This Character Could Cause Your Failure

If you fall into the category of “okra mouths” then the possibility of being a failure in life is high.

Our world is surrounded by evil forces who have no good thoughts about your life. They might be demons, witches, and wizards who are capable of tracking your life progress…

And this would be possible only when you fail to leave a little secret in your life. It is not necessary to always tell people about your every single move.

It exposes you to the hands of enemies. And when I say enemies of progress — I am referring to both the manipulators of the spiritual world and the material world.

Whom Are You Venting To? The Devil And Your Enemies

There is something crucial I want you to know about the Devil and his agents who are always in await to ambush you the moment you unzip your mouth…

Satan has no permission to read your mind. Is it not great news that your greatest foe has no right to read your secret motives? Yes, God did not give him the authority to get into your head.

Keep things inside your head
Sometimes you have to keep the good things inside your head to yourself

But there is this controversial question about how psychics can read minds. Now you see, they hack into what they have no authority over. In such a case, you can shield your thoughts to prevent a psychic or anyone from reading your mind

There is another issue about how lie detectors work. Yes, technological advancement could scan the brain and observe its coordination including your thoughts. But they have their own limitations.

But the truth is unless you subject yourself to such manipulations. Nobody nor anything can know your innermost secrets. Unless you leave the door ajar. I mean the moment you fail to keep your mouth shut then your words could be a direction to your assassination. You showed them the way because you can’t tame your tongue!

In short, they can not know everything you are hiding inside your head. It is only God who can know your secret motives all the time:

“The human mind is more deceitful than anything else. It is incurably bad. Who can understand it? I, the LORD, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done” (Jeremiah 17:9-10).

A Sad Story To Remember

There is a true story that recently surfaced in the media. It happened like this:

A young woman posted a wad of banknotes on her social media profile. She claimed to be living in affluence. This drew the attention of evil people.

Surprisingly, that very day she shared that stupid post she got robbed. These evil guys already know the lady’s residence so it wasn’t difficult for them to locate her. She lost all the money that same day.

Sadly, it came to the limelight that — that huge money she posted belonged to her husband. It was a loan he contracted for a business. Imagine this kind of stupidy.

She couldn’t keep her mouth shut… Not everything you have or does has to be known by people. This has been a great lesson to people around the world especially celebrities who are fond of trading every single move they make in life online. You might not know the kind of demon or enemy lurking in the darkness.

Does The Bible Teaches Us Any Lesson About Keeping The Mouth Shut?

Yes, of course, the Bible covers every kind of lifestyle believers must stick to. The same book cautions us about the stupid things we must refrain from. It is the very book capable of regulating our lives into the glory of the Lord.

Looking through the Bible I can cite one particular example to help you know how to tame your tongue. You shouldn’t unzip your mouth anyhow because — always there is an unknown enemy lurking in the darkness.

Have you heard about the Story of Joseph and how his brothers betrayed him? I presume you have. But let me emphatically draw a line here that exposes the mistake Joseph did.

He had a couple of dreams which plainly indicates he was going to be the rising sun among his brothers including his parents.

Making this revelation to his elder brothers infuriated them. Initially, they devised to kill him. They later sold him out as a prisoner. It all began like this:

“One day Joseph told his brothers what he had dreamed, and they hated him even more.  Joseph said, “Let me tell you about my dream.  We were out in the field, tying up bundles of wheat.  Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles gathered around and bowed down to it.”

His brothers asked, “Do you really think you are going to be king and rule over us?”  Now they hated Joseph more than ever because of what he had said about his dream” Find this story in Genesis 37:1-36.

The question I’m asking here is; what if Joseph had shut his mouth when he realized he was going to supersede his brothers in terms of a successful life?

Look, God has not told you to put your trust in anyone— not even your brothers, spouse or parent. It is up to you to live with caution.

“Do not rely on a friend; do not trust a companion! Don’t even share secrets with the one who lies in your arms” (Micah 7:5).

However, since mankind Can never circumvent the will of God — Joseph’s dream of becoming a prosperous person came true.

Your story might be different in a way that will result in an unwelcoming fate. That is why you should know when to keep your mouth shut and when to unzip it. Always listen to your conscience, and think twice before you share your innermost secrets.
