In Your Distress You Need Motivation To Pray

Just as a worker needs something insightful to put up his maximum best; so as Christians need the motivation to pray. A prayerful life results in unimaginable miracles in all the facets of your life.

The Bible gives us motivation to pray anywhere
Pray without ceasing ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

It is the same weapon that draws you closer to God that can redeem you from your burdens. When difficult times arise in the lives of Christians; there seems to be this kind of exhaustion because their “faith” is weak. You must, therefore, thirst for motivation to pray without ceasing.

In view of a number of factors that discourage Christians to be prayerful at all times like Daniel and Christ Jesus Himself; there must be some kind of motivation. And how do you find it? Daniel, for instance, prayed 3 times a day ( Daniel 10:6).

Stay with me whiles I uncover some of the best methods and reasons why you should make prayers your greatest weapon. Hopefully, this article will feed your soul with the inspiration to entrust every good thing you are doing into the care of God.

I have talked about self motivation skills that can help any individual achieve his lofty goals. Now let shift to the spiritual aspects.

The Spirit living in you needs to be motivated through prayers and fasting. So get ready for that and through faith you can move mountains.

Remember that, with God all things are possible. Just make sure you stay under his wings and no evil nor pain shall overtake you.

Why Motivation To Pray?

The major problem I have noticed so far is that; since we cannot see God with our makes eyes and barely feel his presence; doubt sometimes fills our hearts. When you pray for several days to years and your problem is unresolved; the tendency to give up on God is very high. Just try to understand why God hasn’t answered your prayers.

Meanwhile, you can’t acknowledge certain important things God has been doing for you. Ungratefulness is a kind of rebellion against God’s love and His amazing plans for you.

The second problem discouraging believer’s today is; they want to see something from God before they believe. Some, unfortunately, behave like atheists and agnostics. If you are such kind, then seriously you need Spiritual motivation to pray.

In a couple of months ago, I published an interesting article(Connecting with God through unwavering faith) on the medium’s platform explaining why believers must have stronger faith.

Within its convent, I highlighted a prove from Dr. Andy Newberg, a neuroscientist and a professor from the University of Pennsylvania School of medicine. He actually proved that(scientifically) there is a clear connection between God and a believer when prayer takes place.

The Challenge: The Spirit Is Willing But The Flesh Is Weak

I remember listening to the preaching of one pastor. He said it is good to find the best moment when you feel energetic to pray and pour out your feelings onto God.

In his view, after a long day work and waking up at midnight to pray is like a tug of war for many Christians. Here is it; the Spirit is willing but the flesh is looking weak (Matthew 36:41).

The disciples ( 3 of them in account) of Christ Jesus encountered similar challenges. He left them to pray. And upon returning and checking on them 3 consecutive times; they were sleeping. But Jesus reminded them to be prayerful else…

He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour? Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” ( Matthew 36:40-41).

So Jesus was putting much emphasis on the importance of prayers. If you want to be happy in your marriage life, education or get restoration to anything good you have lost, then I will simply put it like this: Know how to fight the good fight!. And you will never be a loser.

Jesus has already sent the comforter( The Holy Spirit) to fortify us to withstand anything that fights against our progression in life ( John 14:16-17).

When you feel extremely tired you may not be able to have a good interaction with God. You would lose focus an find yourself talking nonsense because you are in the mood of “sleeping talking.” You would feel it within you that you need the motivation to pray.

I realized he has a good point there because what he was saying is factual. Only if you can schedule your daily routines that wouldn’t have a negative effect on your prayers to God; then that would make you a successful person in all your endeavors.

Taking It From Bible Passages

Often the Bible reminds Christians to be prayerful. If you feel lazy to pray then you are opening portals for Satan and his agents to take control of your life. The word of God has already given us the motivation to pray.

You don’t need that from motivational speakers nor psychologists. I will, therefore, present to you a number of Bible verses that will inspire you to go down on your knees every day.

If you lack the motivation to pray, can you pray without ceasing as the Bible reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ?.

If you could be so lazy about anything then it shouldn’t be “prayer.” That is the greatest weapon God has given to his children.

This is what gives us healing, protection, strength, hope and draws us closer to God so that we can enjoy all his amazing promises.

The psalmist sought relief from his distress through prayers. His writings give motivation for prayers for Christians living today:

“Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer” ( Psalms 4:1).

“Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life” (Psalms 42:8).

All these Biblical characters such as Job, Daniel, David, etc. were flesh and blood just like you. They believed in the power of prayer through faith. So they felt the miracles and the loving-kindness of God.

It is now your time to charge forward and fight every single problem on your knees. You can do it if you really believe it. Stay blessed.
