Understanding Why God Has Been Silent To Your Problems

Christians often find themselves in doubt when things do not go the way they have wanted. This results in anxiety and hopelessness. Have you audited your Christian life very well to understand why God is silent?. If not, I will help you to understand why things are happening the way you see now.

Time to know why God is silent to your expectations and everything you want as a Christian

Today, I feel the need to share with African Paradise World readers why our expectations from God do not often correlate with his. In the first place what makes you ask “for the reasons why God is silent to you?” Are your prayers going unanswered? enemies are scolding you, your wishes, hopes and strength have faded?.

Are you facing challenges and feel like God has turned a deaf ear on you. Don’t worry. King Solomon felt the same way when he needed God. David never lost hope in God. There are reasons for everything happening under the sun.

Well, you are in a situation that puts you to several tests. In my Christian life, I have realized that God does not put his lovely Children into difficult situations. He does not test us with what is beyond our strength.

I once found in the Bible that God does not test us— instead our desire to attain something put us to several tests. In the next paragraphs, I will cite examples of some of the situations that make Christians questions God’s whereabouts. King David often lamented to God in prayers to give ears to his prayers and come to his rescue.

“God, do not rest! Don’t be silent! Don’t stay inactive, God!” — Psalms 83:1

“God, whom I praise, do not be silent, for the mouths of wicked and deceitful people are opened against me; they speak against me with lying tongues. They surround me with hate-filled words, attacking me for no reason. Instead of receiving my love, they accuse me, though I continue in prayer.
They devise evil against me instead of good, and hatred in place of my love.” (Psalm 109:1-5)

Before I further up, I recommend reading a related article I recently published “Why God has not answered your prayers.”

Misunderstanding And Challenges

Quite a number of atheists and other non-believers have questioned me to tell them why God is silent while people are shedding the blood of the innocents— endangering wildlife and the natural environment. “If truly there is a God why doesn’t he do something about it.?”

It happens that such people are concerned about the immediate intervention of God. How can an atheist or a non-believer understand the nature of God?, no matter how hard I explain things to them. The main issue here is about the will of God not the will of man. Bear in mind that always it is the will of God that surpasses every will or expectation on earth.

God has not taken away the “gift of free will” from anyone. But he will one day make everyone give account on how he/she used that beautiful gift on earth.

Understanding The Reasons Why God Is Silent To Your Prayers

Now let’s learn some of the reasons why God is still silent to your pains and suffering. After having a deep thought in connection with the Bible, I settled down with the following reasons. Remember that God is always right in whatever he does so if you think there is a problem— it starts with you. FIND it and FIX it.

1. The Test Of Patience

God is silent to your prayers or expectations in a way that tests your patience. All you think about is being happy, successful, healthy, strong, etc. Impatience might let you abuse anything good God gives you. So in order to feel the presence of God, wait for his time, trust him. Indeed those who wait upon the Lord fly like an eagle.

2. The Test Of Strength

Are you strong enough to withstand the pressure and the challenges that will come from enemies? friends? non-believers? and evil forces? My dear, God is refining you just like how the goldsmith refines gold into beautiful jewelry.

“For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined. You brought us into prison. You laid a burden on our backs. You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.” (Psalm 66:10-12)

You need to pass through the fire to be who you want to be. Stop lamenting and trust everything God does.

3. A Test Of Discipline

God expects all his lovely children to be obedient to him. His laws are out there. Do you obey him?. You need to be ready to overcome temptations from evil people. God is silent to your prayers because maybe you are not self-disciplined enough to be successful, a good husband, a good wife or a leader, and so on and so forth.

4. You are unprepared

Put on the full armor of God and be ready to overcome any obstruction that will come from enemies and evil forces.
You need to prepare yourself to receive whatever you expect from God. He is not a man to disappoint. God has many beautiful promises for his Children. Clear every single doubt that is moving through your mind. He searches all hearts and observes every secret motive. Maybe for your situation, you have lost faith. This is why God is silent. A faithless Christian life yields nothing.

5. Your Disobedience Has Sabotaged You

You see, God wants you to be a doer of his word. You can’t choose to satisfy your desires before God. Don’t ever make that grave mistake that King Saul made. He disobeyed God and because of that he lost his Kingship; the Spirit of God left him and lost the love and support from Israel.

This reminds us that, indeed obedience is better than sacrifice. These are some of the reasons why God is silent to your prayers. By the way, never give up on Him, because through the blood of Jesus, you have been graced to find favor in the sight of the Lord.

I believe this article has been helpful to you. Don’t forget to share with friends and loved ones. God is always right but if you would trust him— every good thing you deserve will be yours.

Every good thing you deserve to Know will be made known to you. God is silent for a reason but he never plans to hurt you or make you grief. Take the right step and you will feel his presence audibly all the time.
