Why Do People Want To Buy Happiness?

Why Do People Want To Buy Happiness?

God has given us the most precious gifts in life for free He wants us to become happy. Being happy is something natural and free of charge. But why do people then want to buy happiness?

Why on earth do people buy happiness?
It doesn’t cost a dime to be happy. No need to chase happiness with money. It is natural and free of charge

Many people try to buy happiness and we are yet to understand that right here. Happiness is a state of mind which reflects something positive in one’s life. In a world of 7 billion people, everyone is trying to fit in. Some don’t mind the kind of impact they leave on others. It is like; we all want to be happy but whose tactics work better?.

What are the things that bring true happiness without any cost? Are we going to break the rules or abiding by the rules?. Don’t steal and don’t for it.

What Is The Hardest Truth About Happiness?.

Let me first bombard you with the hardest truth; THERE IS NO LEGITIMATE WAY OF BUYING HAPPINESS. It is like a bitter pill I am delivering to you. It wouldn’t harm you but do you great help. So, if you are planning of buying happiness it means:

1. You know the kind of risk you are taking.

2. You are ready for the consequences and repercussions.

3. That happiness won’t last longer

Every living being wants to be happy. It is not everyone who finds happiness in life for some reason. Why?. Because the world is unfair.

Imagine hearing the story of a beautiful woman who has married for years but looks barren. Every effort has been done, yet she couldn’t birth a child. Such a person would be willing to pay any amount of money to relieve herself from those pains.

Her happiness has been in the darkness. This shouldn’t be the case. Because conceiving a baby is natural and free of charge… A person like this would need the intervention of God through prayers and fasting.

You can't buy happiness quote

“Happiness is never found in materialistic things; it exists in things that cannot be physically possessed. Therefore, happiness is priceless. It can never be purchased. Love is happiness”
-Ellen J. Barrier.

We all have the challenges that drive out happiness. You would be making a big mistake if you expect the world to be fair with you. You might sound like a big fool. Why?.

In the same way, it is like expecting the lion not to eat you up because you didn’t eat him. Your friends, together with enemies might take your fairness as a weakness. They will end up dreadfully stealing your happiness. There is greediness, hatred, arrogance, lies, suppression, wickedness, etc. everywhere.

Despite all these challenges, no one can buy genuine happiness. It begins within you. It is all about learning to conquer yourself. Even in the darkest times of your life, you can still choose to be happy. Yes! You can. Because it is a state of the mind. Just focus on the positive side of anything that happens to you.

Decide to remain calm and happy all the time. Never stress yourself if things are not going as expected. John Lennon once said:

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” – John Lennon.

Money is good, money can do a lot of things. But other precious things render money useless. One good example is “HAPPINESS.”

Unfortunately, some people do their best to buy happiness. How?. They use deceptive means to attain what they don’t have or deserve. It further means they are always willing to break certain rules and laws to feed their greed.

Happiness is not sold, it doesn’t cost a dime. This is why the poor on the street also has the right to feel happy at no cost.

How Do People Even  Buy Happiness?

♦. Bribery And Corruption

This is a broad topic that covers a lot of people’s interactions with societies, institutions, and individuals. Bribery and Corruption is one of the major ways certain people use to buy happiness.

It works in workplaces and almost everywhere. Money is the driving force here. Dishonesty is the medium in which people carry out to reach the highest point of something.

This in no small way brings relief and happiness to the person in question. Corrupt people falsify documents, use shady means to buy happiness meant for someone else.

♦. Injustice

The rich, wise, educated and the privileged enjoy happiness at the expense of the poor, weak, and uneducated.

Justice that brings relief to the innocent is highly-priced. Only the rich can buy. Why on earth should this happen?.

The wicked, murderer, liar, thief, etc. could enjoy happiness out of his evil actions because he has money to buy justice. The weak and the poor are constantly suffering from injustice. And this brings a lot of grievances to them.

Any happiness that comes out of dishonest means has its own consequences. Even if you are not caught before you die, you would still answer to God, unless you repent before you gasp your last breath.

The Controversy About Why You Can’t Buy Happiness

Arguably, many people will find exceptional reasons to diversify the natural means of feeling happy. “Money” is speaking here.

The rich can buy expensive drugs, spend thousands of dollars on his health to feel happy, and probably prolong his life span. The poor can’t afford so he is at a disadvantage.

I don’t see this as a genuine kind of happiness. It’s discriminatory happiness. Albert Einstein, when he grew very old, he refused to undergo surgery to live a little longer. He said it is tasteless to prolong life. Unlike the late Michael Jackson who wanted to live for 150 years but died at age 50. Albert Einstein said:

“…I want to go when I want. It is tasteless to prolong life artificially….” – Albert Einstein.

No money?. You can still be happy. Sometimes when things get tougher, you have to call on God. He has promised to relieve his children from all sorrows and afflictions.

The Bottom-line

Finally, I want everyone to know that true happiness has no merit. It is a state of mind and very natural.

In contrast, a certain level of happiness like passing exams or seeing your dreams come true needs hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Here, your effort will determine the level and the kind of happiness you deserve (You reap what you sow). I do remember talking about the happiest thing in the world that anyone can enjoy free of charge.

The poor, rich, weak, etc. are all entitled to happiness. To use dubious means to feel happy has its own consequences.

Do you think you can run away from it?. Hell no! it would be like running away from your own shadow which is not possible. Be content with the little that you have and God will bless you with more.
